Board Members

Our all-volunteer Board of Directors combines a breadth of experience and depth of compassion that has set the tone and direction for the Wings organization. These individuals reflect the commitment that has enabled Wings to succeed with just four paid employees.

Julie began volunteering with Wings for Success in 2008 and joined the Board in January 2016. Her first role at Wings was as a client stylist but upon recognizing that she was “someone that can barely dress herself,” Julie looked for a more productive way to contribute to our organization. She found her calling by tapping into her fundraising and event-planning expertise and has been actively involved in each of our fundraising events ever since. Her current role on the board is President. Julie and her husband live in West Chester and have two adult children who volunteer for Wings on special projects.


Daisy Anetor

Daisy started volunteering with Wings for Success in April 2016 as a member of the Workshop Committee. She is humbled and ecstatic to serve on the Wings for Success Governing Board. Daisy has a B.A. in Sociology and Applied Social Relations from Eastern Connecticut State University and is a lifelong educator with 30 years’ professional experience in early childhood education, social services and operations management. She currently works as an Executive Director for Nobel Learning Communities, Inc. Daisy is a wife and proud mother of two sons. The Wings for Success mission and leadership align perfectly with Daisy’s lifelong commitment to support children and their families. By empowering women, we strengthen families and the communities in which they live.


Dana Dovberg, Treasurer

Dana attended the 2015 Wings Fashion Show at Immaculata College and was immediately drawn to the Wings mission and signed up to be a Workshop committee member immediately after the event. While on the committee, Dana expressed an interest in getting more involved with Wings and she was asked to join the board as Treasurer. Dana feels that helping women do well in their career is essential to having “a healthy life” and being a positive contributor/influence in her community. She believes in women helping women and supports the Wings for Success mission 100%!

Dana is the Treasurer and Grants Committee Chairperson and helps out on various other committees – Wings Fling Silent Auction Committee, Leasing, Accounting, etc. Dana earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting /Business from Shippensburg State College in 1983. She is a CPA and certified in the state of Pennsylvania.


Pat Foell

Pat has been volunteering at Wings for Success in Kennett Square since 2017 as a stylist and a member of the Wine with Wings planning committee. Pat connected with Wings after her retirement as a global marketing executive with companies such as Citibank, MasterCard and Alliance Data. During her career,  she had the opportunity to travel around the world and observed many examples where women were encouraged and enabled to better their lives and increase their self-sufficiency through skills education, micro-loans,  mentoring and advice. These experiences convinced Pat that organizations such as Wings for Success can help to build a woman’s confidence and empower her to succeed. She looks forward to continue to contribute to Wings as a Board member.


Janet Gervais

Janet was introduced to Wings by the Board President while attending a meeting at The Exton Chamber of Commerce in the spring of 2018. She began volunteering with Wings for Success shortly after that meeting as a member of the Planning and Silent Auction committee for the 20th Anniversary Gala. Her professional career started as a Research Scientist at Message Pharmaceutical Inc, Nucleonics Inc, and Janssen Pharmaceutical (Johnson and Johnson ). While she was at JNJ, Janet was involved in Social Event Committee (SEC) by organizing and leading multiple events, such as volunteer events, vendor fairs, numerous campus socials and off-site employee family appreciation day events. Attended University of Technology, Jamaica (Medical Technology), Cabrini College BS in Biology and MS in Organizational Leadership.

Al is excited to be a part of the Wings for Success team not only because it is something that he strongly believes in, but also because it gives him the chance to continue down the lifelong path of his late mother-in-law, who was a tireless devotee to helping women in need find a better place for themselves and their families through education and career development. Organizations like Wings for Success are critical for ensuring that women in our community are provided the resources they need to succeed, and Al looks forward to working with community partners to further develop the services Wings for Success offers.

Patti began volunteering with Wings for Success in July 2017 as a member of the Planning and Silent Auction committees for the annual Fall fundraising event. She was immediately struck with the kindness, compassion, and unwavering commitment that her fellow team members exhibited in their support of the Wings mission. In addition to her fundraising and event planning work, she has recently been working as a member of the Grants committee. Patti joined the Board in June 2018.

Prior to her retirement, Patti held library & research management, and international marketing and project management positions in the pharmaceutical, medical and retail sectors. She is happy to be able to utilize her program planning and research background in support of Wings and the women in the communities we serve.


Bonnie Carr Long

After retiring in 2014, Bonnie wanted to become involved with a community organization that supports and empowers women. She was drawn to the Wings mission and goal to help women gain financial stability and self-sufficiency for themselves and their families, and began volunteering with Wings in 2015. Her first involvement as a Wings volunteer was to write a communications plan for Wings based on the agency’s strategic plan. Bonnie became more involved in 2016 as co-chair of the Wine with Wings event in Kennett Square, our first fund-raising event in southern Chester County.

Bonnie brings broad and varied experience in marketing communications and public relations with a track record for executing successful public relations and promotional campaigns and events. She has worked with privately held businesses, as well as education, healthcare and non-profit organizations to plan and implement local, regional and national communications campaigns, corporate identity programs, media relations and special events. She hopes to share her experience in ways that will promote the Wings mission and outreach throughout the community.

After retiring from United Way of Delaware (UWD), Dan began volunteering with Wings for Success in 2016 and joined the Board of Directors in June 2018. His first role at Wings was as a member of the Workshop Committee.  He also led one-on-one job seeker advice sessions.  Dan will apply his marketing/sales experience at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, as well as his work with community service organizations at UWD, to Wings for Success clients pursuing employment and economic security. He has been a workshop presenter for PA CareerLink – Chester County and for ITWorks by Tech Impact in Delaware.

Kathy first learned of Wings for Success while searching for an organization to donate her professional work attire to. She was impressed with Wings and their mission to help women in the local community. After retiring from a corporate position, she went back to Wings to inquire how she could get involved. Since 2012, she has volunteered in numerous capacities. She led the Wings Fling silent auction efforts in 2017 and she joined the Board in January 2018. Kathy is the Former Senior Vice President, Human Resources, CSL Behring.

Ashley began volunteering with Wings for Success in 2019 while acting as the liaison for a women’s networking group partnered with Wings for Success.  Ashley immediately connected with Wings for Success’ mission to empower women in their pursuit of employment and economic security and the compassion and commitment with which the organization serves women in the community.  Ashley became a Board Member in January 2020, assists with fundraising and event-planning and volunteers at the Kennett Square office.  Ashley is a partner at MacElree Harvey, Ltd. and a member of the firm’s Family Law Practice Group focusing her practice on representing clients in all aspects of family law matters.  Ashley looks forward to utilizing her legal knowledge and training and prior experience serving on boards for non-profit organizations to support Wings for Success in its mission and service of women in need.

Natalie happened upon Wings quite by accident one day after a pizza lunch. After discovering the mission of Wings it seemed the perfect opportunity to give back to the community. Natalie joined Wings in 2013 as a Saturday donation day volunteer and eventually made her way to the Workshop Committee. Natalie has been in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device industries for over 27 years working primarily in Quality roles including Quality Assurance, Documentation Management and Customer Relationship Management. Joining the Board in June of 2018, Natalie looks forward to building on the history of creating a positive impact on the lives of the women in our community.

Rehana Wolfe

In her quest to serve on a non-profit board, Rehana was very excited when she found Wings for Success and learnt of their mission and the impact they have on women’s lives. Rehana has worked with female non-profit leaders in Africa to ensure children are vaccinated against vaccine preventable childhood diseases. She admires the leadership and perseverance of the women she has met across the world in all types of settings and values the contributions these women bring to societies and families and strongly believes in empowering those who need a helping hand. Rehana joined the Board of Wings for Success in July 2019. Currently, Rehana is a Director and Partner at CGI Technology and Business Consulting and has spent over 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
